To develop the infrastructure of the Port of Ventspils and adapt it to the needs of clients, CHR Design Solutions LLC, commissioned by the Freeport of Ventspils, has successfully implemented the project at Quay No. 16 of the Freeport of Ventspils.
CHR Design Solutions LLC carried out the design development and author’s supervision for the project “Renewal of the fender system at Quay No. 16 of the Freeport of Ventspils” and for the project “Construction of storm bollards at Quay No. 16 of the Freeport of Ventspils.”
The purpose of the design development was to ensure the mooring and servicing possibilities for a larger ferry. CHR Design Solutions LLC designed the construction of five new storm bollards – two at the stern and three at the bow. The installation of such bollards will improve the safety of moored ferries in strong wind conditions. In addition, a design was developed for the installation of fenders.
